You understand that you are representing Telford Angling Association at all times whilst you are a Bailiff. This includes whilst you're fishing as the public will know who you are.
You WILL NOT disclose any internal TAA information, activities, details of TAA team members personal information (unless permission has been given), details of any warnings or bans to others it does not concern, and any other sensitive information to anyone outside of the direct TAA team. *Ex-TAA team members no longer need to know what is going on within the association as they are no longer a part of it.
You agree to uphold and enforce TAA, Environment Agency and legal rules and law at all times.
You will download and install the TAA's chosen form of reporting and communications application and agree to keep the team informed when you have done your checks, any issues arrised and details of any warnings or bans given to TAA customers on TAA controlled waters.
You MUST present your ID card to all anglers before asking to see their details of membership or day ticket(s).
You will try to speak to our customers in a respectful manner at all times, even if they start to get hostile.
You will not put yourself an any kind of danger when dealing with customers or the general public.
You will report any instances of aggression to the team, and to the Police, requesting a Police Report Number which will need to be given to the Head Bailiff for recording.
If you have been issued a TAA personal camera, you agree to wear this camera and have it in a ready and working state at all times. Any video that has recorded any incidents must be copied and given to the Head Bailiff for records. Please keep this camera safe as they cost are your responsibility and are for your safety.
If you plan to go fishing, you will inform the Bailiff Team that you will need cover as you will be unable to fish and check customers at the same time.
Please inform the Bailiff Team if you are unable to do any checks so that cover can be arranged.
To ensure that our waters are in a suitable condition, all are required to help with work parties.
Any issues with the pools must be reported straight to the Maintenance Manager.
All other issues must be reported straight to the Head Bailiff.
Any issues with wildlife must be reported to CUAN Wildlife Rescue (0101952952 728070 between 7am – 10pm) and the Head Bailiff.
Any sightings of Cormorants are to be reported on the HYDROSCAPE-GROUP app.
You will on a "3 month probation period," after which, you will be issued with a TAA ID card. During your probation you will be given a temporary card.
Upon joining as a full Bailiff, you will receive the following benefits so long as you are active:
1. Membership to TAA at no cost
2. Permission to night fish ALL night permit protected waters.
3. £25 for each work party you are involved with. Payment is at the discretion of the Maintenance Manager.
4. A Christmas honorary cash gift.
5. A cash gift share of the day ticket sales for the 12 months. This is at the discretion of the Head Bailiff.
6. You will be able to guest a single person to fish with you so long as they are on the same peg or direct next one to you. You must inform the Bailiff Team you are doing this. If you take the same person more than 3 times, they will be required to join the TAA and obtain a night permit if necessary.
