"A fantastic mixed fishery, perfect for beginners and seasoned anglers alike"
The Castle Pool is set within the outskirts of Little Dawley and the Telford Town Park. The pool is part of a three pool complex and is the largest of the three. The pool is the furthest away from the car park and not as "easy" as the Wide Waters or Dandy pools that accompany the Castle, so the pool is the least visited by regular anglers, which some might see as a benefit!

The Castle pool has recently undergone some major updating with management of the trees and plant life.

The Castle Pool has a very good stock of fish and there is something for everyone in there! Those who like to catch good sized Roach are in for a treat if they can find the shoal.

If you are after a large pool, that is quiet, or you like to move around stalking the rarely caught carp, the Castle pool is a great choice!

Baits And Methods That Work On CASTLE Pool.
Whether you're a course anger, or you favour carp fishing tactics, you have the chance of a great days angling on the Castle Pool.
If you are targeting Roach, Perch, and the elusive Crucian Carp, you cant beat the usual course fishing methods such as Waggler (float), Pole, Feeder and Bomb tactics. Maggots, Casters, Hemp, a good quality groundbait, pellets, sweetcorn and small bandable boilies and wafters will help you pick out the Carp on the Castle.
If you are targeting the many good sized carp, with carp fishing tactics, many of the best fish are caught using PVA bags with pellet, particle feed with boilies, wafters and pop-ups on the hook.
Spodding is allowed on the pool however, in the hotter months, Oxygen levels may drop and this may be restricted in such an event.

**PLEASE THINK OF FISH CARE AND FISH SAFETY AT ALL TIMES ON TAA WATERS, WE WOULD LIKE OUR FISH TO LIVE LONG AND HAPPY LIVES**
