The largest angling association in Telford and surrounding area. With fifteen still waters and three stretches of the River Severn, TAA has grown to become one of Shropshire's premier choices for local anglers!

TAA offers anglers both local and further afield an extremely affordable option for those who like to have plenty of choice in their fishing. From specimen Carp, Catfish, Tench and Pike, to some fantastic silverfish sport for you to target.
Our still waters are open all year round, and only the River Severn follows the course fishing closed season. You could fish every day of the week!

Buy A TAA Licence
Become a member to enjoy access to our fishing locations. With exclusive 24hr access to 4 stillwaters and our sections of the River Severn (18+ only).
Buy a TAA Day Ticket
Not quite ready to join Telford Angling Association, simply visiting the area, you can purchase a day ticket for 1, 2 or 3 rods. (0600 - 2000 only)
Buy a Rod Licence
It is a legal requirement for all anglers 12 years and over to hold the appropriate rod licence. You are not permitted to fish any TAA water without one.
WELCOME
Although there are no official documents that can be found, Telford Angling Association is thought to have been active since the 1970's. The association is a not-for-profit concern and is managed by volunteers from the local area.
The running of TAA is headed by a committee and affiliated clubs, who make decisions on how best to offer the sport of angling on the waters that we control in the local area.
To date, there are 15 stillwaters and 3 different stretches of the mighty River Severn around the Ironbridge area to choose from with Telford Angling Association

River Severn
The River Severn is well known and loved by all for its fantastic fishing. Our stretches are favoured by local and travelling anglers for its fantastic Barbel sport and predator fishing.
Our stretches are wild, natural banked and have gravel shallows, slow deeps and everything in between.

Stillwaters
TAA have the benefit of 14 different stillwaters on our 'book.' There really is something for everyone!

All of our stillwaters are classed as 'park pools' and thus, are enjoyed by many local people.

Whatever you want to catch, TAA probably has it for you!
Telford & District Juniors
Telford Angling Association are proud to support the Telford & District Juniors. TAA supply the venues for coaching days and competitions.
TAA also donate money to the juniors which helps pay for competitions, bait, trophies and any other exciting things required for the team!
